Mmm… smells like tyranny.

Most disturbing of late is this from the official White House blog…

“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to the end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”
To me this sounds an awful lot like something that a fascist regime would ask of their citizens doesn’t it? Americans will not put up with such things, the sacrifices of our forefathers will not allow us to be silent. They call us to bold action, not hushed whispers. The price of freedom is constant vigilance and it seems we have been sleeping for quite some time. Stop hitting the snooze button and wake up. Write to your congressmen/women, attend the town hall meetings, educate yourself and talk to you friends and neighbors. It’s time to fulfill your duty as a free citizen of these United States.
